Pre-and Post-licensure Supervision and Consultation
Marit has provided reflective supervision to interns and clinicians since 2001. She is certified as a supervisor by the Minnesota Board of Social Work and is a CEU provider. She currently offers:
o Individual reflective supervision: offered to students and pre-and post-licensure clinicians (LP, LMFT, LICSW, and other disciplines)
o Monthly Consultation Groups: Groups currently meet from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are a mixture of formal case consultation, specific topics, and open-ended reflective process. Groups focus primarily on child and/or parent-child psychotherapy and integrative therapy (including mindfulness and sensory regulation) for clients of all ages.
Workshops and Trainings
Marit offers training on topics such as:
o Integrative therapy for adults, families, and children which incorporates mindfulness and mind-body techniques to deactivate the stress response and increase self-regulation, calm, and wellbeing
o Play therapy: the “basics” of play therapy, parent-child therapy, use of metaphor, therapeutic storytelling
o Using a developmental lens to understand and address mental health concerns in children such as anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral issues
o Improving and enhancing parent-child relationships
